Ola-Kristian HOFF holds a law degree from the University of Oslo and has specialised in computer law, in particular technological and political strategies in the Information Society. Having broad experience from public administration, he combines experience of political processes on national and European levels, with knowledge of the technologies.
From 1997 to 2000 he has been working for the European Commission on dossiers such as Access to Public Sector Information and Illegal and Harmful Content on the Internet. He came to the Commission from the Norwegian Ministry of Justice where he had worked on policy issues since 1992, mostly related to technology and information management. From 1990 to 1992 he was a research assistant, computer network administrator and lecturer on legal information retrieval at the Norwegian Research Centre for Computers and Law.
