Reed Stager is Digimarc’s vice president and general manager of Global Licensing. Mr. Stager is responsible for licensing digital watermarking technology and applications across a broad range of industries, applications, and media, including print, digital images, audio and video. Mr. Stager has been with the company since May 2000 and has more than twenty years’ experience leading high technology marketing, e-commerce, business development, strategic planning, services and operations in rapid-growth businesses.
Prior to joining Digimarc, Mr. Stager was vice president of marketing and business development for MERANT, Inc. from 1997 to 2000 where he was responsible for worldwide marketing and strategic alliances for their PVCS e-business application development solutions. From 1993 to 1997, Mr. Stager was director of worldwide marketing at In Focus Systems and general manager of In Focus Services, the leader in multimedia projection systems and services. Mr. Stager also led the product management team for Tektronix network display division and was part of the management team at Mentor Graphics, a leader in Electronic Design Automation systems, from 1983 to 1991 that grew the company from start up to over $400 million in sales.
Mr. Stager was a National Merit Scholar and earned his Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from Lewis and Clark College and his Masters of Business Administration degree from Portland State University.
Mr. Stager and his wife, Jody, live in Portland, Oregon with their three children.
