Cecile Remington was born in Delhi, India, and was raised in an international family environment: her mother is French and her father American. She is bilingual in French and in English and also has dual citizenship — American and French. In May 2000 she graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Madison with a BA in French and skills in journalism. As part of her four-year education at the University of Wisconsin, she was chosen to go to Aix-en-Provence, France for her junior year abroad. There she attended the L’Institut d’Etudes Politiques, where she took courses taught in French about the mass media, communications and marketing.
ICRA is Cecile’s first full-time job. However, she has had numerous internships and part-time jobs. Cecile previously interned at the French Embassy for its magazine, FRANCE; at the European Institute in Washington, DC; and for Representative James Moran, U.S. House of Representatives. In college, she worked for the Medical School and the Director of the UW Memorial Union. Cecile enjoys travel, the outdoors and mass media communications (including the Internet). She looks forward to assisting ICRA to accomplish its important mission in the global Internet space.
