Fred Cooke is responsible for all public policy development and execution for the video and data lines of Verizon’s business. He oversees the development of policies to support the data and video business goals by coordinating with legal, marketing, operations, federal and state representatives. Fred also represents Bell Atlantic in external, professional associations and internal senior level committees and task forces.

Prior to taking up his present position, Fred held a number of senior positions at Bell Atlantic covering issues such as city, state, and federal legislative and regulatory activities, managing strategic stakeholder relationships and building relationships with consumer groups, associations, disability groups, minority groups, education and city and state government associations.

As well as his role on ICRA’s board, Fred is also Public Policy Committee Chairman of the United States Internet Information Association; Vice Chairman of Virginia Commercial Spaceport Authority; is on the board of directors and the Public Policy Committee of the Satellite Broadcasting Communications Association; a founding member and director of Virginia Internet Service Providers Association.
