的目的在于提供选择：你可以选择用那种过滤器，选择怎样设定系统等等。提供多种选择的缺点就是你需要做选择 – 但我们已尽力做到最好，务求令你做决定时可以更容易。 在 ICRAplus 里按「搜寻新的过滤器」 (“Find new filters”) 连结，或从你的浏览器直接到www.icra.org/icraplus/filters/。在那里，你会见到一张现时可配合系统使用的所有过滤器的清单。选择你想采用的过滤器并按[继续]按钮，有关步骤的整套指引就会出现。 注意。请注意核取方块中指示「如果你已经安装了ICRAplus，想返回安装程序以增加更多自选过滤器，请移除格内记号﹗」的方格 。
如果不同年纪的子女与家长使用同一部电脑，你好可能想为不同家庭成员设定不同的过滤规则。ICRAplus透过过滤用户资料(profile)支援有关设定。 你可能想安装几个过滤器，并为年幼的子女选择一些严密的规则，对年长的子女则设定较少规限的过滤系统，而自己则可以不受规限地浏览。当你使用用户资料时，每个家庭成员都可以有自己的登入名称及密码。他们登入后，他们的个人规则设定就会应用。幼童甚至好可能因「可以用自己特别的密码登入互联网」的想法而雀跃。 如果你使用此功能，每个用户每隔一段时间都会被要求重新登入。这是为了避免一个设定电脑为较少阻隔的用户离开电脑又没有登出时，其他用户可以看到你本来不打算让他们进入的浏览范围。不过请注意 – 现时仍未有人发明出一个可预防兄长向弟妹透露秘密资料的机制﹗ 家长的一般提示 >确保你的密码安全保密 家长的浏览 太多封锁/封锁不足
